Today was the first day back at Technology for KPC’s tuakana. Each term we travel to Papakura Intermediate so that our akonga can learn, create and share the specialised subjects; Food, Digi and Art.

Keep updated on all the excitement as our akonga navigate their tech subjects with the help of the wonderful staff at Papakura Intermediate.

Straight into our learning this morning with a bit of free writing and some kaupapa – Kaitiakitanga.  What events from our past have imapcted us and how… akonga came up with a few, such as; WW1, ANZAC, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, The Māori Land Wars, The Dawn Raids, Colonisation, Covid-19 and the Influenza Pandemic.  It’s going to be interesting to see what they discover and how they interpret and present their research.
